چکیده

This paper presents a new method for constructing novel thick-panel origami cube. By replacing the equivalent 4R-spherical linkage in four-crease zero-thickness vertex with plane-symmetric Bricard linkage, form of general is identified and constructed. The proposed preserves kinematics original vertex. Then, by utilizing vertex, cube constructed based on that was our previous work. Through mechanism decomposition, geometric constraints kinematic properties corresponding integrated are investigated formulated, which reveals equivalence between forms In addition, prototype fabricated, verifying its properties. technique can be extended to design construction polyhedrons potential applications fields such as aerospace exploration, robotics architecture.
